Spreading Love & Hope...

Hello reader,

We hope that you will help spread the word about our little parish. Help us to grow and spread the love of God to all we meet!

We hope that you will come and celebrate with us. We are a fledgling Old Catholic Parish in the Augusta, Georgia area. We believe in equality, inclusivity, and love! All are welcome to participate fully in the life of our parish.

If you want to know more about what we stand for, feel free to read our Parish Covenant located at our Saint Francis Covenant Page.

Blessings!

Bishop Greg

Upcoming Mass Schedules

We hope you will join us for Mass every Sunday at 3:00 PM. We are located at 2321 Lumpkin Road in Augusta, GA.

October 7, 2018 - Twenty Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time and the Feast of Saint Francis - 3:00 PM - We have transferred the Feast of Saint Francis to this Sunday. Join us as we celebrate our namesake. - The phrase in today’s Psalm, “May you see your children’s children, “is really a prayer for a long life. The good steward knows that every day is a gift from God, to be lived with joy and thanksgiving. “May the Lord bless us all the days of our lives!”

October 14, 2018 - Twenty Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time - 3:00 PM - In today’s Gospel, Jesus asks the rich young man to give away all that he has in order to have treasure in heaven. But he is unable to free himself from his possessions, and so he goes sadly away. Does what I own keep me from following Jesus?

The past is a hard road to travel

past road
This week has been the most difficult week I have experienced in many years. It is the combination of dealing with my health issues, the burden of feeling like I have let others down, and the constant barrage of bad news. It has also been a week of confronting my past and issues I thought I had worked through already. …

Donations

You might not know this, but here at Saint Francis we do not take up a collection. We believe that when we gather for Mass, we should focus all our attention on the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Stopping to take up a collection diverts our attention from the most important task at hand, spending time with Jesus!

If you would like to donate to our parish, you can do so by leaving a donation in the basket next to the service books in the back of the church or by visiting our website. You can set up reoccurring donations or make a one-time donation at https://saintfrancisoldcatholic.org/support-us/.

As you can see from the link, our site uses state of the art security to protect your financial information from beginning to end.
